Actor-turned-politician Vijay has been officially announced as the Chief Ministerial candidate for Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Actress Priyamani, a key player in 'Jana Nayagan,' expressed her admiration for Vijay, stating, "I’m super excited to share screen space with Vijay… I hope this isn’t his last film," as reported by Wionews.
