Actress Esha Gupta has finally addressed the swirling rumors regarding her past connection with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a recent interview, Gupta clarified the nature of their relationship, revealing that while they were in contact for a brief period, it never blossomed into a serious romance.
Gupta explained that compatibility issues and timing played a crucial role in preventing their association from developing further. She emphasized that their communication remained casual and did not progress to a formal dating relationship.
"Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don't think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months," Gupta stated. She elaborated on the short duration of their connection, saying they met "once or twice" and that it "ended before we even reached the dating stage."
Gupta reflected that, while there was potential for a relationship, "things fizzled out quickly." She emphasized that the end of their communication was amicable, without any complications or bitterness. "It just wasn't meant to be," she stated.
Furthermore, Gupta addressed Pandya's controversial appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2019, confirming that their communication had already ceased before the incident occurred. "That part didn't affect me, because we had already stopped talking by then," she explained. The actress also revealed her decision to refrain from adding to the criticism during the controversy, stating, "They were already going through enough. What good would it do if I jumped in with more criticism?"
Currently, Hardik Pandya is not participating in the Indian cricket team's Test tour of England. His next expected appearance for the Indian team is against Bangladesh in August.
